TRAVEL WITH KAHAL
Through KAHAL, students abroad have access to many travel opportunities, ranging from conferences and seminars combatting anti-Semitism, to immersive trips like March of the Living. While KAHAL operates and promotes several such programs each year, such as our annual EU Acvitism Seminar, AEPi European Conclave, and March of the Living, students can apply for grants to subsidize their participation in other opportunities as well!
Check out some examples from past students below and learn more about how you can take your travel abroad to the next level with KAHAL!
EU Activism Seminar
Each year, KAHAL partners with EUJS, B’Nai B’Rith, EJC, and others to bring students to Brussels. Here students meet and lobby Members of European Parliament, Members and Coordinators of the European Commision, as well as staff members for various MEP’s, Commissioners, NGO’s, and lobbyists.
“I learned more about the EU and the difference lobbying makes than I could have imagined. What’s more, though, is that this seminar strengthened my connection to Global Judaism and my own Jewish identity.”
Rebecca Galanti, Cambridge,
March of the Living
Each year, KAHAL partners with March of the Living UK to send a dozen Jewish students studying abroad on the immersive March of the Living trip. Students visit several concentration camps, explore modern Jewish Poland, and reflect on their role as the next generation of Jewish leaders.
“I now more than ever understand where I stand with my Jewish identity. It truly was an unforgettable experience that has changed my perspective. What I have learned, seen, and felt on this journey will stay with me forever.
Nicholas Hakimi, Madrid
