KAHAL Staff City Contact: Joey,

While religion is not an outright accepted institution in China, Jewish life in Beijing is flourishing and there are a variety of opportunities for study abroad students to get involved. The Jewish community is largely made up of Americans and Israelis, so they are accustomed to welcoming newcomers. There is a Progressive (Reform) synagogue as well as a Chabad that both hold Shabbat dinners, services, and holiday events. In addition, there is a Moishe House, a Jewish peer-led space and community for students and young professionals. Connect with KAHAL to find your Jewish home in Beijing, China!
